When Nintendo revealed a list detailing which controllers and accessories would be compatible with the Switch 2, players breathed a sigh of relief, as it turned out that most of their existing gear would work with the new console. However, there are a few exceptions: the original dock, HDMI cable, charging stand, and Micro SD cards will not be supported. Everything else, from controllers to accessories, should function as normal on the Switch 2, provided they don’t lose certain features like the HOME button on the original Joy-Cons, which won’t work on the new system, nor can they be charged directly on it. Similarly, NES controllers will also have some functionality limitations.
