
For a number of years now, Twitch has maintained its dominance in live streaming, leaving other contenders such as Mixer and Facebook Gaming struggling to keep up. However, Kick bucked the trend that many predicted early on, given the initial forecasts pointed towards a swift demise for this platform. Instead, Kick developed its strategy around two crucial aspects: more lenient content moderation than Twitch and more attractive compensation packages for streamers. Furthermore, Kick successfully lured several prominent content creators with generous contracts to boost their viewership and grow rapidly. One of the earliest big-name switches was Adin Ross, who joined Kick in February 2023.
