People Canceling Their Xbox Game Pass Subscriptions Are Getting Hit With Ads

On October 1st, Microsoft announced a significant price increase for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – a jump of $10 per month, representing a 50% rise. This subscription service is widely considered to be one of the best values in gaming. Along with the price change, Microsoft added more games to its selection and improved the benefits for the lower-priced plans, now known as Xbox Game Pass Essential and Premium (previously Core and Standard). Despite these additions, many gamers reacted negatively to the higher prices for Ultimate and PC Game Pass, with some choosing to cancel their subscriptions. However, it appears Microsoft is looking for ways to retain these customers.
