In the year 2025, Pac-Man will celebrate his 45th birthday, as the classic series initially made its debut in arcades way back in May of 1980. The latest traditional installment of Pac-Man was released in 2016 with “Pac-Man Championship Edition 2”. Since then, there have been several multiplayer battle royale versions launched. However, the Pac-Man franchise is set to return, and this time it’s expected to be a completely new experience for fans.

Currently, there’s a lot of debate surrounding video game prices. Fans of Nintendo were taken aback when they found out that games for the upcoming Switch 2 would cost $80 instead of the usual $60 price point on the original Switch console. However, Nintendo justified this increase by stating that it was reflective of the greater value these new games offer to players.

As showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have hinted, the upcoming season promises to delve even deeper into the grim, expansive, and emotionally-charged world of dystopia. With HBO’s wholehearted support behind them, I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!

The unveiling of the Switch 2 garnered largely favorable responses, but a slight setback followed soon after as it was revealed that Nintendo would increase prices for both digital and physical games on the new console. Digital Switch 2 games may cost up to $80, which is a $10 rise compared to the recent industry-wide price hike from $60 to $70, happening just a few years back. Moreover, the price of physical Switch 2 games will increase even more, reaching as high as $90 – a figure that has caused some unease among fans. To add fuel to the fire, it was also announced that certain physical Switch 2 games won’t contain any data on them, instead functioning as game keys without any content preloaded.

2024 saw the unexpected blockbuster success of Palworld, with sales exceeding seven million copies in just five days. To build upon this triumph, developer Pocketpair has continued to support the game through regular updates, including the recent Feybreak patch that introduced a large new island to the map. Not long ago, Pocketpair disclosed that more than 32 million players have enjoyed Palworld, aggregating sales across platforms like Steam and services such as Xbox Game Pass.

As a gamer, I can tell you that I recently got my hands on Disney Illusion Island, a 2D side-scroller developed by Dlala Studios. This game brings together Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy in an adventure across Monoth Island. The storyline involves navigating through obstacles and battling tough bosses scattered throughout the island.

What’s even more exciting is that this Disney Games title offers local co-op support, allowing me to play with up to three friends simultaneously! The game received a mixed response when it was first released less than two years ago, but now it’s making its way to more platforms later this year, expanding its reach and giving new players the chance to join in on the platforming fun.

Each Far Cry game features its own distinctive mechanics and settings, with spinoffs often presenting a significant departure from the core mainline series. For instance, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and Far Cry Primal are examples of this deviation, offering fans a humorous 80s action movie-inspired Sci-Fi adventure in the former and transporting players to the Stone Age in the latter. Ubisoft might consider introducing another major change to the typical Far Cry structure, but not as a direct sequel to Far Cry Primal.
