Over the weekend at Anime Japan 2025, I was thrilled to be among the first to catch wind of some exciting updates! For instance, Final Fantasy has successfully appealed to fans of MMORPGs, turn-based combat, and action-RPGs due to its openness to mechanical evolution. Games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake offer players a chance to revisit a classic tale with fundamentally distinct gameplay mechanics. However, Square Enix could benefit from being more adaptable in this area since most Final Fantasy games follow traditional RPG rules. Exploring the series’ experiments with a more western-style format might provide an interesting twist.
Nevertheless, there’s often been debate among fans about whether Luffy, as a pirate, can genuinely be considered a hero. After all, he deliberately goes against societal norms and rules, which make him a criminal by definition. Moreover, Luffy himself admits that he isn’t a hero; instead, he acts for personal gains and the welfare of his crew. However, just because the narrative of One Piece portrays Luffy as non-heroic, does it mean he can’t still embody the role of the heroic protagonist in the series?

Over almost two decades, five films have been released: The Bourne Identity (2002), The Bourne Supremacy (2004), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), The Bourne Legacy (2012), and Jason Bourne (2016). Matt Damon plays the role of Jason Bourne in all films except for The Bourne Legacy, where Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner appears as Aaron Cross, another agent impacted by the CIA’s secret program. It has been approximately 10 years since the last film was released in the franchise, but a new project may progress once it finds a new home.
