Over the weekend at Anime Japan 2025, I was thrilled to be among the first to catch wind of some exciting updates! Among them were sneak peeks into fresh anime productions and announcements about upcoming seasons, like a third installment for “Rurouni Kenshin” which, as of now, doesn’t have its own title. But I can’t wait to see what they’ll name it in the future! This new season will be building upon the foundations laid by the previous two, namely “Tokyo Prologue” and “Kyoto Disturbance”. I can hardly contain my excitement for this journey ahead!

Due to the immense popularity of Minecraft, numerous enthusiasts have endeavored to add their unique touch to the game’s visual elements. The world of Minecraft is teeming with a vast array of texture packs and graphical modifications, ranging from realistic styles to tributes to various games and franchises. Even the creators have considered revamping the game’s graphic style officially, but the highly anticipated “Super Duper Graphics” Pack was put on hold in 2019, leaving many fans disheartened. Now, Minecraft is planning a significant overhaul of its graphic systems with some major updates.

Apart from narrative and environment, the casual link to continuity also boosts gameplay mechanics quite significantly. For instance, Final Fantasy has successfully appealed to fans of MMORPGs, turn-based combat, and action-RPGs due to its openness to mechanical evolution. Games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake offer players a chance to revisit a classic tale with fundamentally distinct gameplay mechanics. However, Square Enix could benefit from being more adaptable in this area since most Final Fantasy games follow traditional RPG rules. Exploring the series’ experiments with a more western-style format might provide an interesting twist.

Nevertheless, there’s often been debate among fans about whether Luffy, as a pirate, can genuinely be considered a hero. After all, he deliberately goes against societal norms and rules, which make him a criminal by definition. Moreover, Luffy himself admits that he isn’t a hero; instead, he acts for personal gains and the welfare of his crew. However, just because the narrative of One Piece portrays Luffy as non-heroic, does it mean he can’t still embody the role of the heroic protagonist in the series?

The original announcement about the release schedule for downloadable content (DLC) for WWE 2K25 gave fans a heads up on which months they could expect each pack, plus some of the wrestlers included. Now that the information has been updated, players of WWE 2K25 can note down the exact dates when these DLC packs will become available.

A standout game for me is Stay: Forever Home, an upcoming XR game that’s set to revolutionize VR and AR technology by offering a completely immersive pet simulator experience. The creators, Windup Minds, are a talented group of remote developers who have previously worked on notable projects such as Meta’s Bogo and First Steps.

The Jason Bourne film series, derived from Robert Ludlum’s book series with the same name, consists of action-thriller movies. This series primarily revolves around the character Jason Bourne, a former CIA assassin struggling with amnesia and trying to discover his real identity. Over almost two decades, five films have been released: The Bourne Identity (2002), The Bourne Supremacy (2004), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), The Bourne Legacy (2012), and Jason Bourne (2016). Matt Damon plays the role of Jason Bourne in all films except for The Bourne Legacy, where Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner appears as Aaron Cross, another agent impacted by the CIA’s secret program. It has been approximately 10 years since the last film was released in the franchise, but a new project may progress once it finds a new home.

It’s significantly more crucial to note that only a small number of websites focus on the type of games I enjoy, as it could be possible, or unlikely, that our gaming preferences align—either way, it’s worth considering.

As a die-hard Star Wars gamer, I have to admit that the initial releases of Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 were met with some heated debates among fans. However, over time, these games have become cherished memories for many, particularly the 2017 version of Battlefront 2 which significantly improved after its launch thanks to regular free updates and the elimination of its notorious loot box system. The absence of Star Wars Battlefront 3 is almost a legend among fans, and considering EA’s current approach, it feels like a squandered chance.
