The idea of a challenging hunt isn’t inherently negative – some players actually enjoy the effort, feeling the reward is greater when they finally get a shiny Pokémon. I understand that perspective, and in theory, I agree. But because I really love shiny Pokémon, I struggle with grinds that can take 70+ hours, like finding a shiny starter in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. I simply don’t have that much free time. I was lucky to find mine after 43 hours of resetting, and that makes me wish I was still playing the newer games like Gen 9 and Scarlet and Violet.

Microsoft’s gaming division is heading in a new direction following the retirement of longtime leader Phil Spencer, who envisioned a future where gaming wasn’t tied to specific consoles. CEO Satya Nadella unexpectedly appointed Asha Sharma to run the $24 billion business. Sharma’s background is different from Spencer’s; she comes from companies like Meta and Instacart and most recently worked on AI projects at Microsoft. This choice worried some dedicated fans and industry experts, who feared someone without a gaming background wouldn’t fully grasp what gamers want, and some speculated she might scale back Microsoft’s console business to prioritize artificial intelligence. While Xbox hasn’t been performing as well as Nintendo and Sony lately, it remains an important part of Microsoft’s overall business.

It can be a little strange for longtime anime fans to revisit shows they loved as kids or teens and realize they now feel like classics from the past, especially with so many exciting new anime like Jujutsu Kaisen and Gachiakuta being popular today. However, becoming a classic is something to be proud of! It means these older anime were truly the best of their era, and they deserve to be remembered and appreciated, even if they don’t feel as brand new anymore.

Fans of One Piece won’t have to wait much longer for the show’s return – it’s coming in under two weeks! But before the new season starts, there’s a special treat: a brand new opening sequence will be released on March 28, 2026. This will give fans their first glimpse of the highly anticipated Elbaf arc, even before the episodes air. Considering the excellent openings during the Egghead Arc, this new sequence will likely give fans a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming story.

Before Nintendo brings the cosmic adventures of the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie to theaters, fans are hoping to see one more iconic location adapted for the big screen: Isle Delfino from Super Mario Sunshine. Many believe this tropical paradise would be the ideal setting for a third Super Mario film, offering a fun and refreshing contrast to the space-based adventure and leaving audiences eager for more with its signature “Wahoo!” energy.

As a huge film fan, I was so excited to see the HBO trailer finally give us a release window for the Harry Potter series! It’s coming in December 2026, which is a little sooner than many of us expected. There’s been some chatter online about the casting and whether it’s right to revisit such a beloved story, but HBO is promising a fresh take on the Harry Potter books, and honestly, I’m really intrigued to see what they do with it.

Here’s a list of other great ninja anime. While they might not be better than Naruto, they’re worth checking out if you’re a fan of the genre. There’s a lot of variety in ninja anime – some are funny or focus on different things – so they aren’t always directly comparable. But if you love the ninja world – with its hidden villages, throwing stars, stealth tactics, and exciting fights – these series are good choices. They won’t teach you how to be a ninja, but you’ll feel like one while watching!

I’m really excited about Minimo, it’s the first game coming from a new studio called Low Drag Labs! What’s cool is that the people behind it aren’t exactly newcomers – they’ve worked on some big titles before. The studio was founded by Jon Selin and Mike Hines. I did a little digging and found out Jon’s a Swedish developer who used to be a Design Director at CCP Games and even VP of Design at Pocket Gems. And Mike? He’s got experience at Epic, Oculus, and Perpetual! Definitely keeping an eye on this one.

Next up is Ghost Face, also known as Danny Johnson. Originally from the Scream movies, this killer is a regular human with a dark and disturbing sense of humor. While he might not seem overwhelmingly powerful in Dead by Daylight, Ghost Face is surprisingly popular with players. It takes some practice to learn how to effectively use his unique abilities, but many find him a worthwhile character to master.
