Lost Soul Aside’s ‘FromSoftware’ Build is Virtually Unbeatable

Despite some areas needing improvement, it’s worth noting that Lost Soul Aside offers an enjoyable gameplay experience, although it can be too easy at times. The mechanic of staggering makes the player feel mighty, and Kaser’s swift, graceful melee moves are captivating. While style and charm might be lacking in several aspects, combat certainly isn’t one of them. Although it leans towards action gameplay rather than RPG, there’s still a hint of complexity to be found through skill trees, weapon enhancements, and the like. One character build even transforms Kaser into a character reminiscent of FromSoftware bosses, making players almost invincible.

One of Lost Soul Aside’s Best Stunts Should Have Been a Feature

In the game Lost Soul Aside, the scope for exploration is quite restricted, as most of the gameplay is designed to progress players from one boss battle to another in a linear fashion. However, there’s a greater focus on movement and platforming than might first appear, which includes an unique feature that doesn’t often come up and cannot be triggered at will. This distinctive feature is the Arena-surfing ability in Lost Soul Aside, where Kaser temporarily rides or runs on Arena’s back. This is used either to traverse from one platform to another or to swiftly dodge danger. It would have been more enjoyable if this ability could be activated whenever needed, but it only appears during pre-determined sequences in the game and sometimes cannot be manipulated by the player.
