I recently checked out *The Touryst*, this cool open-world adventure game made by Shin’en Multimedia, a studio based in Germany. It first came out on the Switch in 2019, and then hit Xbox and PC the next year. They even released a PS5 version in 2021, which they hyped up as the first game in the world to run in 8K. Honestly, that 8K thing was a bit misleading. The PS5 couldn’t actually *output* 8K through its HDMI, so the game was rendering at that resolution internally, then scaling it down. Sony initially made a big deal about the PS5 being able to go beyond 4K, but they’ve since stopped talking about 8K support, and you won’t even find it mentioned on newer PS5 boxes anymore.
It looks like the Timekeeper could be the compelling villain Borderlands 4 needs. Unlike past villains who relied on over-the-top antics, he establishes fear through constant surveillance and control of the planet Kairos, making his power felt everywhere. While villains like the Calypso Twins often felt separate from the main story, the Timekeeper is deeply connected to the game’s core elements – its story, factions, and overall atmosphere. This makes him a truly memorable antagonist, something the Borderlands series hasn’t seen in over ten years.
As a long-time Call of Duty fan, I have to say things really came to a head with Black Ops 6. The cosmetic items had gotten out of hand, and when Black Ops 7 was announced, the community made it clear we weren’t happy with where the series was going. Thankfully, Activision and Treyarch listened! They admitted the games had lost their way and announced they were getting rid of the Carry Forward feature, which a lot of us were upset about. Now, we’re all starting to worry the same thing might happen with Battlefield 6, so fans are really pushing EA to avoid making the same mistakes as Activision.
I absolutely love Division Rivals in EA FC 26! It’s such a fun way to test my team against real opponents online. Basically, the more matches you win, the higher you rank up through the divisions, and the better the weekly rewards become. It’s super addictive trying to climb and get all the best stuff!
After being delayed earlier in the year, *Lost Soul Aside* launched on August 29th, and players are excited to try this unique game inspired by *Final Fantasy* and *Devil May Cry*. In the game, you play as Kaser, who must rescue his sister, Louisa, and protect humanity from the Voidrax – mysterious invaders with the power to steal human souls. The game began as a one-person project by developer Yang Bing, but grew into a team effort when Sony announced it would be featured as part of the China Hero Project, which supports Chinese game developers.
