Where To Find Sunburst Batterflies in Palia
Sunburst Batterfly Locations In Palia
The Sunburst Batterfly is a rare butterfly with deep blue and orange wings. Players can find it while exploring the Elderwood. It appears in several locations within the Elderwood Forest biome โ specifically Mitana Grove, Honeymiel Slope, Jeunesse Pass, and the Deep Woods โ and is active between 6 am and 6 pm each day.

Sunburst Butterflies can also appear in the Lilac Cavern, but we suggest checking the locations mentioned earlier first. While any Smoke Bombs will work, we recommend using Sneaky or Sticky Smoke Bombs because they wonโt scare away or slow down the bugs when you throw them.
Similar to many creatures and resources in the Elderwood, Sunburst Butterflies can become infected, making them harder to catch. To help with gathering, you can either craft Elderwood Smoke Bombs or use the Bag of Illusion II relic while you’re collecting resources.
Besides the Sunburst Butterfly, you can find other interesting bugs in this area during the day. If you’re trying to earn achievements, consider using Honey Lures and Smoke Bombs to attract bugs, and then use the Party Chat feature to let friends know you’re hosting a bug-catching event!
What Are Sunburst Batterflies For in Palia?

The Sunburst Butterfly helps you make progress on in-game achievements like “Catch Bugs” and the Bug Catcher series. It’s also needed to complete the daily quest, “Burst of Sunlight.” If you get this quest, you’ll earn three Tailor Tickets as a reward, which you can use to unlock new hairstyles and makeup for your character.
Sunburst Butterflies are useful for crafting QualityUp Fertilizer and the Elderwood Idol II. If you find a Star-quality butterfly, you can display it on your farm as decoration, sell it for gold, or give it to the villager Auni to become friends with him.
