Singularity 6 has launched a Halloween update for their game, Palia, with patch 0.196. This update brings new content to celebrate the holiday with players. Palia is a free-to-play fantasy life simulation game that initially launched in open beta on PC and Nintendo Switch in late 2023, and is planned to release on current-generation consoles in May 2025. The developers regularly update the game, often adding significant new features and content to keep the experience fresh.
Palia lets you create a new life in the village of Kilima, on the world of Majiri. Many players compare it to *Stardew Valley* – you can spend your time gathering resources, hunting, farming, cooking, crafting, and more. Recently, the game added animal care, letting you raise bees, boars, chickens, and cows. As you play, you’ll also complete quests to learn about the history of an ancient civilization and build relationships with the villagers.
Palia Releases Spiritfest Spectacle for October 2025
The newest update for *Palia*, Patch 0.196, arrived on October 7th and introduces the Spiritfest Spectacle just in time for Halloween! This update adds a Spiritfest Bundle and new quests to the Bulletin Board, plus a Spooky Moon Store filled with decorations like candles, cobwebs, and pumpkins. Players can also use the new Jack O’Lantern Lure to attract Pumpkin Rockhoppers to their homes. The Premium Store has also been updated with spooky items, including the Split Soul Angelic Demonic outfit, Spooky Beats emote, Ghostly Glider, themed tool skins, and a set of Spiritfest makeup looks.
Update 0.196 brings more than just visual changes – it adds several enjoyable features for players. One of these is Goobi, a new pet available in the *Palia* Premium Store. Goobi is a slime creature that gathers flowers for you.

I’m so excited about the new *Palia* update! They’ve really improved ranching – now I can finally have my friends come help out with the animals! We can feed them, give them pets, and collect everything together. Plus, the new pen organization is amazing. I love that I can decide where my animals go and, even better, keep babies with their parents instead of sending them to the nursery. They also made it so our animals stay happier for longer and produce more stuff, which is fantastic! Oh, and of course, they fixed a bunch of bugs too, making everything run even smoother.
