A new official Palworld card game has been announced, scheduled to release on July 30, 2026.
Palworld, the game originally nicknamed ‘Pokémon with Guns’ and previously involved in a legal dispute with Pokémon and Nintendo, is expanding with a new trading card game. The card game is being created by Bushiroad, a company famous for other popular card games like Cardfight!! Vanguard and Weiß Schwarz.
Palworld TCG Arrives July 2026
Bushiroad is creating a trading card game based on the popular game Palworld! The card game is scheduled to launch on July 20, 2026, and will let players battle each other one-on-one. Players will use strategy and teamwork with their Pals – collecting resources and building bases – to win. The Pals’ special abilities will be key to success.
Since its release, Palworld has been accused of copying Pokémon, and the Pokémon Company has even filed a lawsuit claiming patent infringement. Launching a collectible card game based on Palworld, especially given Pokémon’s popularity in that area, won’t make those accusations go away. However, collectible card games aren’t just for monster-catching games – titles like Cyberpunk 2077 have successfully entered the market recently, proving that other types of games can thrive there too.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is taking another look at Nintendo’s patent related to the ongoing Palworld controversy.
