With a rich history of open-world survival games and a soft spot for anything that involves adorable creatures, I’ve been eagerly awaiting this title since its early access release earlier this year.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excitedly anticipating that I might get the chance to play Palworld on my PlayStation 5 as early as the Tokyo Game Show 2024, if the latest rumors are anything to go by!

Based on a Gematsu blog post about X, the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) has unveiled a document detailing participating developers and their respective games for the Tokyo Game Show 2024. This roster includes the developers’ projects, along with the gaming platforms they will be showcased on. Notably, Palworld by Pocket Pair is slated for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, as indicated in the document. However, it’s important to remember that this list doesn’t necessarily represent the final lineup for the event.

Now, here’s the interesting part – this partnership didn’t cover game licenses. But guess what? If the latest CESA document is correct, it seems like Pocket Pair might have struck a deal with Sony for Palworld to make its grand entrance on the PS5! Fingers crossed and we’ll keep our eyes peeled for an official announcement to confirm this fantastic possibility!

What is Palworld?

In simple terms, Palworld is an open-world survival game where you craft and interact with enigmatic creatures known as “Pals.” These Pals can engage in combat, construct settlements, gather resources, and work in industrial facilities. The game debuted on early access on January 24, attracting over 25 million players within its first month. Moreover, it has recently undergone a substantial update, adding a new island called Sakurajima, as well as fresh Pals, adversaries, and merchandise to explore and collect.
