Palworld Releases New Update for December 2024

Summary

  • Palworld update 0.4.12 is now available for download on non-Xbox platforms.
  • The Xbox version of the patch is still in the process of being certified.
  • The new update is largely focused on bug fixes and balancing tweaks targeting the content from Palworld’s recently debuted Feybreak update.

As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant world of Palworld, I must say that the latest update, version 0.4.12, has truly been a breath of fresh air. The way Pocketpair addresses issues and fine-tunes game mechanics is nothing short of impressive.

I just checked my gaming notifications, and there it was – another update for Palworld! Labeled as version 0.4.12, this latest rollout continues to polish the content unveiled during the Feybreak update. As a gamer, I’m always excited to see these improvements!

Feybreak officially arrived at the realm of Palworld on the 23rd of December. This significant upgrade unveiled a fresh island, various items, and innovative gameplay elements, along with other exciting features.

Following our usual custom, Pockepair has just rolled out the latest update for Palworld, titled 0.4.12, shortly after its major release. This patch was made available for download on PCs and PlayStation 5 systems starting December 26th. The update addresses a bug that had Pals getting trapped on oil rigs in Palworld, as well as resolving an issue where Bjorn and Bastagor characters would stumble when attacked.

Palworld Update 0.4.12 Fixes Several Issues With Pal Summoning

In the 0.4.12 update, adjustments have been made to the new “Palworld” raid, which was recently introduced. Initially, the Xenolord [Lvl 60] raid proved to be significantly harder than intended, but this problem has been rectified in the latest version of the game. Additionally, the game has fixed several issues related to summoning Pals. One bug prevented players from calling a Pal if another one was already summoned, while another issue caused summoned Pals to perform lumbering tasks incorrectly.

In simpler terms, the recent update (December 26) for Palworld has improved how Pals do cooling tasks. This update fixed a bug that occasionally resulted in excessive animations and effects during cooling work, causing a drop in frame rate. It also squashed several game crash issues and some unidentified minor bugs. However, the 0.4.12 update for Palworld on Xbox consoles isn’t available yet, as it’s still being certified by Microsoft. The developers mentioned that once this process is complete, Xbox players will get the update soon, but they didn’t give an exact timeline. Typically, updates for the Xbox version of Palworld have followed the PC version by just a few days.

Ever since Palworld entered Early Access in January 2024, they’ve been dropping patches like a gamer levels up! Most of these updates have been about squashing bugs rather than introducing new content, but with an average of two patches a month, I can sense another one coming soon from the devs at Pocketpair for their smash hit survival crafting game.
