Palworld Update Makes Flying Pals OP!

Summary

  • Palworld update v0.4.13 fixes lingering bugs in the game.
  • The update also increased turning speed for certain flying Pals.
  • Despite controversies, Palworld continues to thrive with new content updates.

The gaming studio Pocketpair has rolled out a fresh update for the widely acclaimed early-access survival game, Palworld. Released in early 2024 across Steam and Xbox, Palworld skyrocketed in popularity and became one of the standout new games of the year, despite being an early access title. Now available on PlayStation 5 as well, players on this platform can experience what all the excitement is about firsthand.

Since the debut of Palworld during its early access launch, it’s been a blockbuster success; however, it hasn’t been immune to controversy. Critics quickly noted resemblances between certain Pals in Palworld and Pokemon, leading Nintendo to take legal action against the developer Pocketpair, alleging patent infringement on their ball-throwing mechanics. This lawsuit has prompted changes in how players summon Pals within the game, a shift that hasn’t been universally welcomed, but Pocketpair remains resolute and continues to roll out substantial updates for the title.

After the debut of Palworld in 2024, Pocketpair rolled out two substantial updates post-launch. The Sakurajima update introduced a fresh island for players to discover and capture new Pals, while the Feybreak update brought even more content on top of that. Pocketpair continues to support Palworld with regular updates, the latest being version 0.4.13. This update doesn’t introduce any major new game content but resolves existing issues and patches bugs instead.

Following the new update for Palworld, gamers will observe that the aerial turning speed for Xenolords and Frostallions has been boosted. Additionally, there’s an enhancement in the drop rate of legendary blueprints from the large chests situated on the Large Oil Rig. However, common blueprints have been taken out from the loot pool of these large chests. The latest fix has addressed issues that caused players to sink beneath the terrain, Pals to cease generating energy, and tower bosses to stand still. These bugs have now been eradicated with this patch.

In the most recent update, creatures known as Pals in Palworld will now come back to their player if they stray too far during battle, and they will also cease dodging when targeted with a weapon. Additionally, numerous bug fixes have been implemented, resulting in an improved overall gaming experience. Players can anticipate further updates for Palworld over the coming weeks and months, leading up to its final 1.0 release.
