It’s great that we now have a fresh raid boss from Palworld for us to confront and push the boundaries of our Pals. This one is no ordinary adversary; it’s the toughest boss I’ve encountered in the game – none other than Xenolord!

Xenolord’s assaults are unprecedented, and within mere minutes of engagement, it becomes evidently clear what a challenge it is to face off against this formidable dragon.

I’ll provide you with a summary of the upcoming fight and strategies for tackling the obstacles that may arise.

Preparing For The Fight

To stand a better chance at overcoming Xenolord, make sure to pack additional ammunition for your weapon. The boss is known for its swift movements, so expect to miss some of your shots.

If you don’t adjust the game settings to boost the damage you can inflict, defeating Xenolord alone will be quite difficult.

Gather rejuvenating elixirs, powerful recovery pills, combat rations, and healing capsules to make certain that you have an adequate supply of supplies for safeguarding your companions and your Palbox.

Or simply:

Bring rejuvenation potions, advanced healing medicines, battle snacks, and healing units to ensure you’re well-stocked for protecting your friends and your box.

It’s strongly advised that you upgrade your companions, craft top-tier equipment, and gather troops prior to engaging the boss battle.

This revised version maintains the original meaning but uses more everyday language and a clearer structure to make it easier for readers to understand.

To engage in the battle, it is necessary to first acquire the Xenolord slab. This artifact can be created by merging Xenolord Slab Fragments, which are obtained from looting Dungeon treasure chests or by successfully completing Pal expeditions.

After obtaining the Xenolord Slab, it’s time to build the Summoning Altar to call forth the boss. Here’s what you’ll require for building the Summoning Altar: these items can be found in the Technology section at level 33.

Item Amount
Stone 100
Paldium Fragment 20

Regarding the weapons, I strongly suggest considering a Rocket Launcher, a Laser Gatling Cannon, or a Plasma Cannon as they have a fairly substantial damaging capacity.

As a gamer, I’d say it pays off to snag those legendary weapon upgrades, because they pack a serious punch compared to their standard counterparts. It’s essential to don the best armor, helmet, shield, and have Pals with outstanding IV traits and attributes for battle – these gear pieces can make all the difference!

Given that Xenolord is vulnerable to Ice-type creatures, it would be beneficial for you to include Frostallion and Gobfins in your party. Gobfins can boost your own attack power, while Frostallion will infuse your attacks with an icy effect.

Where To Start The Fight

If your Palbox is exposed, Xenolord’s assaults could erase it completely. To safeguard your Palbox, you should locate a place with robust security, where the defenses are resilient and not easily compromised.

Xenolord’s assaults include wide-range laser blasts and leaping attacks capable of instantly eliminating your team members.

To keep your Palbox safe with its more than a million HP, it’s best to position it in an area where Xenolord’s attacks are relatively infrequent.

I’ve marked a prime location (285,302) as my go-to spot for initiating raid challenges. Given that the Palbox is positioned above, with the boss appearing below, it reduces the chances of the boss’s attacks affecting the Palbox.

During my battle, I barely managed to land a hit or two on the Palbox throughout the entire ordeal. Therefore, I can confidently say that it’s an excellent position not just for Xenolord, but also for other raid bosses like Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, and Blazamut Ryu.

Tip: Declutter your equipment and carry only essential items for combat. Some allies could join the fray, and you may gather additional resources following Xenolord’s wide-ranging attacks taking care of them.

Fighting Against Xenolord

After summoning Xenolord at the Altar of Summoning, the boss won’t hold back and will launch an immediate assault against you. You can expect to encounter massive laser barrages, relentless dark projectiles that home in on you, and surprise attacks from above.

As a gamer, I’d say: Since the boss is a Dark or Dragon type, it’s wise to have companions who are resistant to these attack types. Once I’ve progressed enough, the Xenolord will start summoning its minions, Xenovaders and Xenogards.

As an avid player, I wholeheartedly endorse making the Frostallion your primary steed, and acquiring a robust Rocket Launcher for dealing area-of-effect damage to both Xenovaders and Xenogards.

To avoid having your entire army being wiped out by Xenolord’s area-of-effect attacks, it would be wise to concentrate on defeating the Xenovaders and Xenogards separately for a short while, then return to attacking Xenolord.

You have three options for your Pal army: Max Condensed Bastigors, Knocklems specializing in defense, or a few Frostallions. The choice depends on what’s available in your arsenal. But I strongly suggest focusing on damage as it proves to be the most effective strategy against Xenolord.

As a fan, I’d recommend using Frostallion’s quick dodges to keep the boss focused on your character and avoid incoming assaults. With its nimbleness, Frostallion, being a Pal, can easily dodge most of the attacks coming your way.

In case one of your companions or your main character perishes, head over to your Palbox, replace the fallen comrades, and get back into battle. It would be prudent to engage in combat at a distance from Xenolord, since close-range battles can be quite hazardous.

If you prefer not to spend much time optimizing your combat companions for raids, an effortless approach might involve adjusting the game environment to increase your character’s power, allowing you to proceed effectively.

Rewards For Defeating Xenolord

After overpowering Xenolord, you’re given a colossal, shadowy Egg as your reward. This egg can be hatched at the Incubator, and the resulting creature is another Xenolord. If you desire, this Xenolord can serve as a flying mount once equipped with the Xenolord Saddle.

Materials needed to craft the saddle:

Xenolord Saddle 30 Leather
50 Dark Fragment
30 Meteor Fragment
200 Paldium Fragment

I recommend breeding down offensive traits to use Xenolord in battle.

Regarding the main benefits, here’s a breakdown of what you’ll receive upon successfully overcoming the boss.

Material Amount
Xenolord (Ultra) Slab 1
Training Crystal 1
Ruby 1
Ancient Civilization Core 3
Ancient Civilization Parts 10
Power Fruit 1
Huge Dark Egg 1
