- To resolve extractor problems, players may need to rebuild them.
In the aftermath of the January 2025 update for the game Palworld, some players are encountering issues with the crude oil extractors, which were supposed to operate more effectively following this update. Crude oil is a vital resource in Palworld, and players might need to dismantle and reassemble their extractors to maximize their efficiency.
In June 2024, during the Sakurajima Update for Palworld (which was its first significant expansion), crude oil made its debut as a new element. Since the game is in its Early Access phase, this update garnered much interest due to its fresh region and tameable creatures, known as Pals. However, it wasn’t just the new region or the Pals that captured attention; the introduction of crude oil also opened up numerous crafting possibilities. This raw material became essential for creating Plasteel, Flamethrower Fuel, Missile Ammo, and Frag Grenades Mk2.
Just a few days back, I jumped into my favorite game, Palworld, for an exciting update on January 23. This update primarily rolled out unique skins for five diverse Pals, aligning with the upcoming Lunar New Year festivities that kick off on the 29th of this month. Interestingly, it was the second update for Palworld in January and packed with a punch, addressing numerous bugs and tweaking settings.
Two of these changes were aimed at boosting the output of crude oil from extractors and the Pal Labor Research Lab. However, since this latest update, some players, like Reddit’s Ashen9000, have been experiencing an issue where their pre-existing extractors haven’t seen any speed increase. The proposed remedy appears to be dismantling them entirely and constructing new ones from scratch.
Now, it’s up to us gamers to see if this solution works or if we need to explore other possibilities! Happy gaming!
Palworld May Be Having Trouble With Oil Extractors
In the game Palworld, several users have encountered similar issues, particularly at crude oil sites where multiple extractors have been added. Fortunately, if multiple extractors are present, players suggest that destroying and rebuilding a single extractor restores all of them to operate at a higher production rate. However, Pocketpair, the developer of Palworld, hasn’t provided exact details on the new production speed for extractors post-update. Some players have noticed an improvement of 50% to 100% in their oil yields if their extractors are functioning correctly.
Although Pocketpair hasn’t publicly confirmed the rumors about faulty crude oil extraction equipment, their development team is actively working to enrich the game with additional Early Access content as its launch date nears. This week’s unveiling of the Palworld roadmap hints at a bustling schedule, featuring cooperative crossplay, new Pals and technologies, enhancements for Pals stationed at bases, a final boss encounter, and an ending scenario.
