PC Gamers Have 3 Free Games to Claim Right Now

PC gamers can currently snag three free games for their collections, but these offers won’t last forever. New free games are regularly available through platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store, but they’re usually only available for a limited time.

As a PC gamer, I’ve noticed that Epic Games Store usually gives away free games for a whole week, which is awesome! But sometimes, during their mystery game promos, you only have 24 hours to grab them – so you really have to be quick! Steam is a bit different though. There’s no real pattern to how long games stay free on Steam, so you just have to check regularly to make sure you don’t miss out on any freebies.

PC gamers currently have three free games available. The Epic Games Store is offering the stealth games Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness for free until January 22nd at 10:00 AM Central Time. Meanwhile, Steam is giving away Initial Drift Online for free until January 18th at 12:00 PM Central Time.

If you haven’t heard of it, Initial Drift Online is a multiplayer racing game where you drift cars in Japan. Like many racing games, you can customize and collect different vehicles. If you want to add Initial Drift Online to your game library, you need to get it before January 18th at noon Central Time. After that, it won’t be free anymore, and it’s unclear when another free game will be available on Steam.

This week on the Epic Games Store, you can get two fantasy stealth games, Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness, completely free. While they received mixed reviews when they first came out, free is always a good deal! Plus, a new Styx game, Styx: Blades of Greed, is coming out on February 19th, making this a great opportunity for PC gamers who use the Epic Games Store to grab these titles and expand their game collection.

What is the Next Epic Games Store Free Game?

  • Rustler (Epic Games Store) – January 22 – January 29

The Epic Games Store usually lets players know a week in advance which game will be free next. Since we know when the current free games, Styx: Master of Shadows and Styx: Shards of Darkness, will be removed, we can share that Rustler will be the next free game. It will be available starting Thursday, January 22nd at 10:00 AM Central Time, once the Styx games are no longer free.

People often compare the game Rustler to GTA, but set in the medieval times and viewed from above, like older GTA games. When it launched in 2021, reviews were generally unfavorable, but you can try it for free on the Epic Games Store starting January 22nd.
