PC Gamers Have 6 Freebies to Claim Right Now

PC gamers can currently get six free items from Steam and the Epic Games Store – five independent games and a $25 bonus for a free-to-play game. While both stores often have free games, it’s unusual to see so many available at the same time. This is a great opportunity to add new games to your collection without spending any money.

I’ve been checking out a couple of new games, and I wanted to share what they’re all about. First up is Arabian Gulf, which is a really immersive single-player survival game. You’re dropped into a tough desert environment and have to rely on your wits and some basic tools to stay alive. Then there’s Magellania, and this one’s totally different! It’s a 2D, tactical RPG where you explore planets and build a team to fight enemies. What’s really cool about Magellania is that there’s a ton of extra content to play through after you finish the main story, which is awesome if you love turn-based RPGs!

Botany Manor is a highly-rated puzzle game where you play as a botanist trying to bring magical plants back to life. You’ll solve puzzles and discover hidden secrets inside an old 19th-century mansion. Normally costing about $25, the game is currently available for free, making it a great deal for puzzle fans.

The Poison Retro Set isn’t a game on its own—it’s extra content for the popular shooter, Pixel Gun 3D. You’ll need to already have Pixel Gun 3D installed to get the set for free. Luckily, Pixel Gun 3D is free to download on the Epic Games Store, so adding the $25 set should be easy.

Both NightReaper2 and SunBlockers are independent games published by the same company and share some similar gameplay elements. In NightReaper2, you play as a stealthy reaper, hunting souls while dodging the police. SunBlockers challenges you to escape zombies, but you need to stay in the light to survive. These games are being offered for a longer period than typical Epic Games Store freebies because the developer is running a special promotion.

While Botany Manor is getting a lot of praise, most of the other free games on this list don’t have many reviews yet. Remember that these are independent games, often made by small teams or individual creators, so it’s best to go in with reasonable expectations.
