In a recent development, the popular multiplayer climbing game PEAK, which has been sweeping through viral circles, has unveiled its first major update. This upgrade offers players fresh materials to experiment with, newly-introduced achievements, and increased options for character customization. Among these new additions is an achievement titled “Resourcefulness.
In simpler terms, being resourceful is one of the most clever (and potentially mischievous) achievements to acquire in the game. Your friends might not appreciate it when you manage to achieve this, but upon completion, you’ll receive a stylish reward as a token of recognition. This guide will walk you through the process of earning the Resourcefulness badge in PEAK.
How To Earn PEAK’s Resourcefulness Badge
To achieve the Resourcefulness badge, the game prompts you to act on your hunger, which might be misunderstood as needing to consume your companions or allies. However, it’s essential to clarify that this phrase is metaphorical. What the game actually means is for you to find and use unconventional resources to survive, possibly items that resemble friends in some way.
In the July 29 update, an unusual yet fun feature was introduced for PEAK players: the ability to consume teammates to replenish hunger. When your hunger level dips around 60%, approach one of your allies. Interestingly, they will appear as a chicken-like figure on your screen at this point. To eat them, simply press the button that appears on your screen.
Consuming a teammate, as you might expect, instantly ends their life. However, there’s an upside: it significantly increases your stamina. An additional benefit is that you acquire all the items they had on them. Fear not, this isn’t permanent; they can be revived using a Scout Effigy or by interacting with the statue at the summit of a biome.
Remember that triggering the Curse status might cause some inconvenience later on, as it can be quite frustrating. However, it’s important to note that it’s not a game-ending situation.
An effortless solution to resolve the issue is employing a “Universal Healer,” that not only lifts the Curse but also eliminates any ongoing debuffs. PEAK enthusiasts might opt for the “Pandora’s Box of Lunch,” though it comes with risks. This box will clear your current debuffs, yet it may potentially introduce new ones. These new consequences could be beneficial or they could add to your difficulties, so use it only if you’re feeling fortunate (or in dire straits).

If your character isn’t causing your teammate to transform into a chicken because they’re not hungry, then it’s likely that the cannibalism feature is disabled in the game. You have the option to activate this feature from the main menu, which will award you a badge, but remember you can always turn it off again if you prefer to maintain a friendly gaming environment.
Resourcefulness Badge Reward in PEAK

Upon finishing this dastardly task, you’ll be awarded the “Wicked Grin cosmetic“. Indeed, it suits the crime well. A wicked grin for a truly devious act.
