The creators of the popular game, Peak, have revealed a new area called ‘Roots’ will be added on November 5th, 2025.
Peak, the popular co-op climbing game from Landfall and Aggro Crab, has been doing incredibly well since it launched. It recently neared 10 million sales, boosted by strong performance on Steam. To give players even more to enjoy, the developers are adding a brand new biome to the game.
Peak’s Next Biome is Going to be Forest-Themed
Peak is getting a new biome called Roots, and it looks like a dense forest! A recent Steam update revealed a trailer showing two players on a tree when a giant spider suddenly snatches one of them. The trailer ends there, but it also announced the release date: November 5th. You can watch the exciting teaser below.
The latest addition to the game was the Mesa biome, known for its sandy landscapes and large mountains. Now, it looks like players will be climbing giant trees instead of mountains and hills. Like Mesa, the new Roots biome may eventually be randomly swapped with Mesa and Alpine, though the developers haven’t officially confirmed this. Players can also look forward to new items for protection, new resources for climbing, and new challenges to overcome.
This month, Peak developers unveiled Crashout Crew, a new cooperative arcade racing game, and you can try a demo now! Also, what do you think about Peak’s plans to add the Roots biome next month?
