Penguin Game Set in The Batman Universe is Coming, It’s Claimed

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that the prospect of a new Penguin game set in Matt Reeves’ The Batman universe has me intrigued! If you remember, I was one of those who praised Colin Farrell’s portrayal of the Penguin in the 2022 movie.

Based on a recent report from Puck, it appears Warner Bros. might be developing a fresh game featuring the Penguin character within the widely acclaimed Batman universe as envisioned by Matt Reeves.

According to the report, different units within Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) are starting to work together more tightly on projects such as the forthcoming Penguin HBO series and game, which are connected to the 2022 movie “The Batman.”

When Zaslav took charge, some suggested he sell off the games division, but Zaslav continues to view it as a key strategic area.

Currently, there’s no official confirmation regarding the possible Penguin game, and no statement has been made in response to the report. Additionally, we at TopMob have not been able to independently authenticate the rumor ourselves.

According to Puck’s account, there’s a possibility that Zaslav’s evaluation of Warner’s gaming division may shift in the near future. Consequently, it’s uncertain whether the Penguin game will materialize as planned.

HBO is set to debut a limited series adapted from Matt Reeves’ version of The Penguin in late September 2024. This engaging series will span over eight episodes, concluding in November 2024.

Previously, HBO unveiled several previews for their upcoming series, which has been generating much excitement. Critics have lauded Colin Farrell’s performance in Matt Reeves’ The Batman movie, making a video game adaptation of that portrayal of the character an appealing prospect.

A week ago, a fresh gameplay trailer for the exclusive Batman: Arkham Shadow on Meta Quest 3 was unveiled, along with a projected launch date in October 2024.
