Though not as globally famous as *Persona 5*, *Persona 3* remains a fan favorite in the *Persona* series. The game has been updated and re-released over the years, including spin-offs and versions for newer consoles, allowing players to experience the story of SEES, their journey through Tartarus, and the mysterious Dark Hour.
Persona 3 Manga Volume 1 is Free – For a While
Fans of *Persona 3* can now read the entire first volume of the original manga for free! This free offering, totaling 162 pages, is a thank you from Atlus to the *Persona 3 Reload* community. The free volume is available for a limited time on the official *Persona 3 Reload* Sega website. While only the first volume is currently free, the rest of the manga can be purchased digitally or in physical copy from various bookstores.
The *Persona 3* manga actually started releasing in English in 2016, quite a while before the *Persona 3 Reload* remake came out. Because of this, readers shouldn’t anticipate any story elements from the remake appearing in the manga. The manga was created by Shuji Sogabe, first appearing in 2007 and concluding in 2017 after several breaks. Sogabe also illustrated the *Persona 4* manga, which is also available in English. A manga adaptation of *Persona 5* also exists, but it was created by a different artist.
This decision likely also aims to generate excitement for the upcoming release of *Persona 3 Reload* on the Switch 2. Nintendo fans have been eager to play the game, although the way it’s being released has sparked some debate. *Persona 3 Reload* will be available on a Game-Key Card for the Switch 2, meaning the game files won’t be stored directly on the physical cartridge. Despite this, players won’t have to wait much longer to experience it on Nintendo’s new console, as *Persona 3 Reload* is scheduled to launch on October 23, 2025, for the hybrid system.
