Those who enjoy the Persona series have something to look forward to! Atlus is planning celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the franchise, which began with the original Revelations: Persona game on the PlayStation on September 20, 1996. The anniversary is fast approaching!
The Persona series has been very active lately, even though fans are still eagerly awaiting Persona 6. While we haven’t heard anything new about Persona 6, there’s been plenty to enjoy, including a remake of Persona 3, multiple spin-offs based on Persona 5 like Persona 5: The Phantom X for mobile and PC, and plans for a remake of Persona 4.
Persona Series Gears Up for 30th Anniversary
Atlus is starting to reveal what’s next for the Persona series with a new website celebrating the franchise’s anniversary. Right now, the site features a striking image with all the Persona game protagonists. Atlus has announced that more details about the anniversary plans will be shared on January 8, 2026.
What’s on the Horizon for the Persona Series?
With this being a significant anniversary for the series, the website will likely feature merchandise to celebrate. We might also see real-world events like concerts featuring Persona music, or *Personathemed cafes reopening in Japan. However, most fans are really hoping for news about upcoming games.
Persona 5: The Phantom X
With the mobile game Persona 5: The Phantom X approaching its first anniversary in 2026, we anticipate it will be featured on the website. We also expect at least one anniversary event for the game, and details may be announced there.
Persona 4 Revival
Considering Persona 4 Revival was only revealed in mid-2025, a 2026 release seems unlikely. Still, Atlus might share a trailer or update soon to give fans a better idea of when the game might actually come out.
Persona 6
via Atlus Look, everyone’s really hoping to finally hear something about Persona 6. It’s been years since we last saw anything, and Atlus has teased us before at events, only to leave us disappointed. So, I’m trying not to get too excited, but… I’m starting to think this time could be different. Atlus and Sega definitely know how much we want it, and announcing it during the series’ anniversary would just make sense. Plus, there have been some recent leaks suggesting the game is further along in development than we thought, which is a good sign. But I don’t think any news will be limited to just their website; they’ll probably announce it across multiple platforms.
Spin-Offs and Crossovers
Although Atlus hasn’t officially confirmed anything, there’s a possibility we’ll see new spin-off games announced soon, perhaps even this year. The Persona series has also been very active with collaborations – in 2025 alone, characters and themed items have appeared in Overwatch, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and Wuthering Waves, suggesting more team-ups could be coming.
Fans will need to be patient for more details about what Atlus has planned for Persona in 2026 and the future, but it seems likely they’re working on something special.
