A recent leak indicates that Persona 4 Revival could be released around early 2027, potentially coinciding with the launch of its unannounced Funko Pop! figures. This timeframe supports previous statements from Sega about when the game is expected to come out.

After over a year of speculation, the remake of Persona 4 was officially revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase in early June 2025. The short announcement trailer featured real-time gameplay footage of the town of Inaba, showing the main character, Yu, running through familiar areas. The trailer confirmed the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Since the announcement, Sega and Atlus haven’t shared many more details about the project.

Persona 4 Revival Funko Pops Reportedly Coming in Early 2027

Although we still don’t know exactly when Persona 4 Revival will be released, a reliable source known for leaking Funko Pop information, The Scarlet Joker, has shared a potential launch timeframe. According to a post on April 2nd, Funko Pop figures based on Persona 4 Revival are scheduled to come out in early 2027, which suggests the game itself might be released around the same time.

A release in early 2027 would fit with Sega’s previously announced plans for the game. Sega mentioned Persona 4 Revival as part of its lineup for the fiscal year starting this month and ending March 31, 2027, as detailed in a financial report from June 2025. However, game development often faces delays, so the release could be pushed to later in the year. Despite this, if recent information from The Scarlet Joker is correct, Persona 4 Revival is still expected to launch before the end of March 2027.

The website The Scarlet Joker has shared potential details about upcoming Persona 4 Funko Pops, suggesting they could be released soon. The initial lineup is rumored to include the main character, Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka, and Teddie. However, this first wave doesn’t include all of the core Persona 4 characters – Yukiko Amagi, Kanji Tatsumi, Rise Kujikawa, and Naoto Shirogane are not listed. It’s unclear if this is the complete set of Funko Pops, so a second wave featuring the missing characters is still possible.

Persona 4 Revival May Be Coming Along Nicely, But Persona 6 Is Still Nowhere To Be Seen

Although rumors strongly suggest Persona 4 Golden will be remastered and released by early 2027, Atlus hasn’t officially announced the next main Persona game, Persona 6. Job postings hinted that Persona 6 was in the early stages of development as early as 2021, and in late 2025, reliable source NateTheHate stated the game wasn’t stalled. He also reported that Persona 4 Golden‘s remaster is primarily being handled by Tose Software, a Japanese development team working under Atlus’s direction, which implies it shouldn’t be taking away many resources from the development of Persona 6.

Kazuhisa Wada, producer of the Persona series, has hinted at several announcements coming in 2026. One possibility is a release date for Persona 4 Revival. Atlus used a similar strategy with Persona 3 Reload, revealing its release date in late August 2023 before launching in February 2024. If Persona 4 Revival is also planned for release early in the year, we might see a similar announcement timeline. The 30th anniversary of the Persona series in late September 2026 would be a likely time for these reveals. Additionally, a source claiming inside information has stated that anniversary-themed Persona Funko Pops featuring characters from Persona 3 through 5, as well as Igor and Wonder, are also planned for the celebrations.
