To celebrate the holidays, a new line of alcoholic sake drinks inspired by the game *Persona 5 Royal* has been released. The bottles feature artwork of four beloved characters: Joker, Mona, Violet, and Crow.
Persona 5 Royal has become incredibly popular, bringing the Persona series to a global audience. While fans are hoping for a new game, developer Atlus has recently been focusing on updating older titles, such as Persona 3 Reload and the soon-to-be-released Persona 4 Revival. Because Persona 5 is so well-known, Atlus continues to release merchandise related to the game.
Persona 5 Royal Introduces Fancy Sake
Fans of *Persona 5 Royal* can now enjoy a special collaboration with Hinemos sake brewery. They’ve released four different types of sake, each with unique bottle designs. The “Joker Edition” is a dry sake with 15% alcohol, while “Violet’s” is a sweeter, red sake at 13%. “Crow’s” sake is also dry and sharp, with the same 15% alcohol content as Joker’s. Each 500ml bottle costs 6,600 yen (about $43.25 USD as of publication) and features character artwork printed directly on the glass, making them safe to wash and reuse as collectibles.
The newest sake bottle is inspired by Mona, the helpful companion of the Phantom Thieves. This 170ml bottle has a light, fruity scent and a lower alcohol content of 13%, similar to Violet’s sake. It’s said to be a great match for sushi – a favorite food of Mona’s in the game! This bottle is only available as part of a set with the other three, costing 16,500 yen (around $108 USD). Fans won’t be able to buy it individually. Pre-orders start October 10, 2025, and the sake is expected to ship in early December.
It’s been a great time for *Persona 5* fans lately! Beyond the recent collaboration with *Overwatch* featuring special skins, there’s also a *Persona 5* Big Band Concert happening in Japan this year. Plus, *Persona 5: The Phantom X* was released earlier in 2025.
