
PGL is reaffirming its dedication to Counter-Strike 2 by announcing a major competitive schedule extending to 2028. They plan to host a total of 15 top-level tournaments between 2027 and 2028, with eight of those events taking place in 2028 alone. This is one of the most extensive and ambitious esports plans ever created for Counter-Strike.
PGL is planning another busy year in 2027, with six tournaments scheduled from January to October.
PGL is Supercharging Counter-Strike 2’s Calendar
PGL announced that in 2027, they will host six tournaments created by independent organizers, along with a major event called the Perfect World Counter-Strike Asia Championships.
Here’s the schedule revealed thus far for 2027:
- February 11–22
- March 17–29
- April 14–26
- August 17–29
- September 1–13
- October 6–18

What we’re seeing in Counter-Strike 2 is unlike anything before, and it shows just how valuable the game and its community remain.
The PGL Masters Bucharest tournament just finished, and Aurora emerged as the champions, winning the majority of the $625,000 prize pool. This is Aurora’s biggest win yet in Counter-Strike, especially considering they recently finished second at the Esports World Cup.
