At this point, everyone seems on board, but a little additional verification won’t do any harm.
During an interview with Danny Peña at Gamertag Radio, Phil Spencer, the leader of Xbox, discussed a range of subjects, one of which was their approach to releasing exclusive games across multiple platforms.
More Xbox games will become multiplaform
During our chat, it emerged that Phil had verified the release of additional Xbox games on the competing PlayStation console. By perusing our articles, you’re already privy to the Xbox games slated for PS5 in 2025.
In his tweet via @Shinobi602, Phil expressed that they are proud of their platform and hardware, but they won’t restrict access to the fantastic games their studios create. Instead, expect to see their titles appear on various platforms!

On Xbox exclusive titles:
“We adore our platform and the devices that power it, but we’re not about creating barriers for people to enjoy the fantastic games our studios produce. Instead, expect to see these games appearing on a wider range of platforms.

Why buy an Xbox?
During the discussion with the Xbox CEO, the hosts questioned him about the reasoning for purchasing an Xbox console, given that the corporation appears to be transitioning away from exclusive content entirely. In response, Phil explained:
“Given our shift in strategy, I’d like to explain why gamers should still consider buying an Xbox console. Even though we are moving towards a more open ecosystem, there will still be unique experiences and games that will only be available on our platform.
We aim for individuals to select their hardware depending on its features and personal preferences regarding gameplay locations. Our goal is for our hardware to excel due to its capabilities, not to restrict access to games from various platforms.” (This version emphasizes user choice while maintaining the original intent of promoting quality hardware without limiting access to games.)
A magical year in the making
As an ardent Xbox fan, I can’t help but feel exhilarated about what lies ahead for our beloved gaming platform! The year 2025 is shaping up to be one of Xbox’s most spectacular years ever, possibly even its best. Titles like Avowed, DOOM: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, The Outer Worlds 2, and perhaps Fable, promise a jam-packed calendar for gamers throughout the year. I can hardly wait to immerse myself in these exciting new worlds!
During this past week’s Xbox Developer Direct event, it was announced that Xbox Games Publishing will be releasing Ninja Gaiden 4 – a highly anticipated title expected to re-establish the franchise at its peak position.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m curious about the growing trend of Xbox games being developed for multiple platforms. Share your thoughts on this topic by leaving a comment, and let’s continue the conversation in our vibrant community forum!
