PIONER Open Beta Launches Again as New Trailer Drops

The post-apocalyptic MMO, PIONER, is holding another open beta test until December 9th. This allows the developers at GFA Games to fine-tune the game before it enters early access on December 16th. Along with the beta, a new trailer has been released, giving players a look at the game’s desolate setting – the ruined island of Tartarus.

PIONER is a new action game developed by GFA Games, a studio based in Serbia. It’s set in a Soviet-era world facing destruction and draws inspiration from popular titles like STALKER and Fallout, promising a thrilling and immersive experience.

PIONER Launching December 16, But You Can Play It Now

I’m so excited for GFA Games’ PIONER! It’s coming out in just a couple of weeks, but here’s the cool part – you can actually play it right now if you’re on Steam! They’ve got an open beta available, so you can jump in and try it out before the official release.

PIONER is still a bit unpolished, but that’s understandable since it’s launching as an early access game. It’s a really ambitious project, aiming to combine many features – including a large online world, ongoing updates, a story that changes based on your choices, both player-versus-player and player-versus-environment combat, and beautiful graphics.

The latest trailer really showed off the environments we’ll be exploring when the game finally drops on December 16th – they look awesome and pretty challenging!

As a big STALKER fan, I immediately saw the connection with PIONER! It’s cool that some of the people who worked on STALKER were involved in making this. The gameplay feels familiar – you use a scanner to find these weird anomalies, and just like in STALKER, you can toss junk metal at them to deal with them. It’s a really neat mechanic that fans of the series will appreciate.

Sound familiar?

While PIONER borrows some elements from other games, it still feels original and offers excellent combat, customization options, and player freedom.
