In a post on X, YouTuber 2KOG demonstrated his transactions for in-game items within NBA 2K25 from the PlayStation Store. What stood out was the staggering amount of $32,831.68 he’s invested in the game.
The video shows that the transactions began on March 31, 2025, and concluded on August 5, 2025, which is also the date when the video was made. All of these transactions involved the purchase of the game’s Virtual Currency Packs, with the most expensive one costing $160.48 per pack.

Directly from the YouTube personality himself, it’s become clear that he has taken a valuable lesson after splurging on such a substantial sum. He cautions his fellow creators to think twice before investing heavily in collectible cards or excessive spending for content production, as it may not bring significant rewards.
Unfortunately, even after spending $32,000, he hasn’t managed to gather all the top-tier cards in the game. To reach a point similar to what he shows in his video, it seems he might have to shell out an equivalent amount of money once more.
Man, let me tell you, I’m definitely not going to shell out that kind of cash again. Even though I dropped a pretty penny, I’m still lacking so many goodies in this game. It’s just not worth it!
In simpler terms, if you’re planning to buy NBA 2K26 on September 5, 2025, keep in mind that any progress or purchases made in that version may become obsolete when the next game comes out.
