As an avid Mortal Kombat fan who has been following and playing this iconic game since its inception, I am deeply disappointed with the recent update experience on Xbox. Mortal Kombat 1, a game that I have eagerly anticipated and enjoyed immensely, has left me frustrated and disillusioned due to the numerous technical issues that have arisen post-update.

The new Xbox fix for “Mortal Kombat 1” is facing backlash from players due to various troubles. According to feedback, this update brings about regular crashes, flawed textures, and other technical problems that negatively influence the gaming experience of “Mortal Kombat 1”.

On July 23rd, Mortal Kombat 1 underwent a significant upgrade, bringing in fresh elements to exhilarate players. This update marked the arrival of Takeda Takahashi as a new downloadable fighter and Ferra as a new Kameo Fighter. Moreover, it introduced classic skins for Reptile, Smoke, and Sub-Zero from MK ’95, along with UMK3 costumes for Rain and Ermac. The patch notes indicated numerous corrections to visual and gameplay errors, dealing with concerns related to brutalities, trophies/achievements, move list discrepancies, and more. Furthermore, it rectified character-specific problems such as invincibility during Fatal Blows, inconsistencies in Kameo interactions, enhanced character animations, and various other improvements.

In the Mortal Kombat 1 community on Xbox, some players have reported experiencing various troubles despite finding the recent update satisfactory. On the Mortal Kombat subreddit, users have shared bugs such as characters assuming T-poses in the select screen and tutorial mode, along with texture glitches during special moves. Furthermore, online multiplayer has been plagued with frequent crashes when trying to find matches. Players are growing increasingly frustrated due to the lack of communication from NetherRealm Studios regarding these issues, which have persisted for nearly two days without any patches or solutions. Some players have even tried reinstalling the game, but have not noticed any improvement.

Mortal Kombat 1 July Update Performs Well on PS5

Instead of “In contrast,” some PS5 players have shared positive feedback about the update on the subreddit. For example, one user admired the improved character outfit designs and smoother animations. Another user described the PS5 version as one of the “most refined games” they’ve played, expressing optimism for addressing Xbox issues soon. However, there is a concern regarding the update’s large file size – the latest Mortal Kombat 1 update requires 120.84 GB on Xbox, which is considerably larger than on other consoles.

July 26th is a notable date for “Mortal Kombat 1” gamers as the Mortal Kombat 1 Year 2 panel at San Diego Comic-Con is predicted to reveal major updates. There’s a high chance that Kombat Pack 2 will be introduced during this event.
