It appears an analyst has found that Halo games suitable for PlayStation are included in the API, hinting strongly at an upcoming release on this platform.

Lately, we’ve gathered some information about upcoming Halo games such as the remake of Combat Evolved, Project Ekur, and the next main installment in the series. Interestingly, the same source has come forward with fresh data mining findings, suggesting that a Halo game for PlayStation might be under consideration.

Halo Datamine Suggests a PlayStation Release is On the Way

Information about Halo games coming to PlayStation is originating from sources like Grunt.api and RebsGaming. Notably, Rebs Gaming often breaks news related to Halo games, frequently drawing on insights from Grunt.api. This dataminer has a history of revealing previously unseen details and images of upcoming content. In fact, in 2021, Grunt.api accurately predicted the release date for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer mode.

The Halo Dataminer has the ability to tap into the APIs of Halo games, allowing them to share specific details ahead of time. As per their recent discoveries, a new Halo game compatible with PlayStation is indicated in the API. Interestingly enough, this same title was spotted connected to PlayFab last Monday, a service that assists with cross-platform progress, matchmaking, and centralized online features.

PlayStation Compatible Halo Title Could be Project Ekur

Additionally, it appears there are two unrevealed Halo titles in development, one of which is rumored to have PlayStation compatibility. The source of this information has limited details, but suggests that Project Ekur by Certain Affinity might be the new multiplayer Halo title for PlayStation. They also propose a possibility that the two listings could refer to the same game, with one being a beta version and the other the full release.

For those who may not know, RebsGaming shared that the abandoned battle royale mode of Halo Infinite, known as Project Tatanka, was transferred to Certain Affinity. They then changed it into a distinct multiplayer game built on Unreal Engine 5, which is temporarily called Project Ekur. According to RebsGaming, the ideal situation would be that fans get updates about the Halo CE Remake, Project Ekur, and the beta of Project Ekur during the upcoming Halo World Championship in October of 2025.

According to reports, Halo Studios has hinted at providing further updates about the Halo series and its upcoming title later in the year. While RebsGaming speculates that there might be at least one new Halo game launching on PlayStation, possibly including a beta version, it’s important to note that this information is not yet officially confirmed. Therefore, fans should approach this news with caution until further details are announced by the studio itself.
