PlayStation Is Releasing Its Own PC Gaming Monitor

PlayStation is entering the gaming monitor market with its very own PC monitor.

PlayStation revealed its first-ever gaming monitor during Tuesday’s State of Play Japan event. The monitor is built to work seamlessly with both the PlayStation 5 console and personal computers.

What Are The Gaming Monitor’s Features?

This 27-inch gaming monitor for PlayStation—separate from Sony’s INZONE line—features a high-quality IPS display with a crisp Quad HD (2560 x 1440p) resolution. It supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) for vibrant colors and includes Auto HDR Tone Mapping. Gamers can enjoy smooth visuals with refresh rates up to 240Hz on PC and 120Hz on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro consoles, along with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology.

Okay, so one of the coolest things about this is it has a special hook built right in to charge my DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers. Super convenient!

This monitor offers two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 input for connecting devices. It also includes two USB-A ports and one USB-C port. For audio, it has built-in speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. Plus, it’s VESA mount compatible, letting you easily attach it to a wall or monitor arm.

Sony plans to release a PlayStation gaming monitor in 2026, but the exact launch date and cost haven’t been revealed yet. It will initially be available only in the US and Japan.
