PlayStation Japan has unveiled a fresh promotional video showcasing several games set to arrive on the PS5 this year. For those who may not be aware, these types of previews typically combine clips from various studios (both first- and third-party) in an edited format designed to generate excitement.

The video idea revolves around leaving a quaint, distinctive space to explore the expansive realm of gaming. Consequently, the animation showcases a room where characters are seen playing, followed by their transition into a game.

PlayStation Japan Features 15 New PS5 Games Headed To The Console This Year

The games featured are:

  • Monster Hunter Wilds
  • Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii
  • Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
  • Elden Ring Nightreign
  • Atelier Yumia
  • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2
  • Shadow Labryinth
  • Lost Soul Aside
  • Split Fiction
  • Synduality Echo of Ada
  • Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation Prism
  • Winning Post 10 2025
  • Fantasy Life
  • Suikoden I + II HD Remaster

It’s not hard to figure out that, aside from Split Fiction, these are all games created by Japanese game studios and primarily target the Japanese market.

In the video, renowned Japanese artist Akari Nanawo provides the vocals. The visuals in the video adapt based on the unique worlds depicted in various games, while the music aims to convey the allure and essence of each game’s title.

The rooms depicted in the video were creatively designed by eleven well-known Japanese artists: Rabbit MACHINE, Maku, pomodorosa, KU, TNSK, Soichi, Koriyu, Narume, DEPPA, najuco, and Hikari Matsuda.

This Sony PlayStation Japan production beautifully combines art and gaming, and I wholeheartedly approve! I can only hope that the upcoming promotional video from the U.S. will capture a similar atmosphere.
