PlayStation Players Spends $2000 on 24 Years of PS Plus to Avoid Price Hikes

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must admit, I was initially taken aback by the news of one PlayStation player shelling out $2000 for 24 years of PS Plus membership. However, upon deeper reflection, I found myself nodding in approval and secretly wishing I had thought of it first!

One PlayStation player has spent $2000 on 24 years of PS Plus to avoid future price hikes.

Reddit user /u/On_Reddit_In_Class decided to take action due to the steep price hikes in recent years, leading them to purchase a PS Plus subscription that extends all the way to 2048.

In the Reddit discussion, feelings were split, with certain users praising it as a clever idea, yet stressing its success hinges on longevity. Conversely, some users jokingly expressed concern about its survival duration, saying it’s impressive only if it manages to endure for that period.

Sony increased the cost of PS Plus from $59.99 to $79.99 in September 2023. It’s hard to predict how much the service might cost in the future, but it will likely continue to offer good value. Given that a cancellation would probably result in some form of refund, it seems reasonable to assume that… right?
