As a seasoned gamer with over three decades under my belt, I must say that Sony’s lineup for PlayStation Plus games in January 2025 has me quite intrigued! The diverse selection of titles caters to various gaming preferences – from the action-packed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and the adrenaline-pumping Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, to the thought-provoking Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe.
Having played countless superhero games in my time, I’m eager to see how Suicide Squad shapes up with its league of antiheroes taking on the Justice League. The Need for Speed franchise has always been a staple in my collection, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel once more in this remastered version! And let’s not forget about The Stanley Parable – a game that’s sure to provide an engaging narrative experience while offering a welcome respite from the chaos of virtual combat.
I’m particularly interested in Suicide Squad, having read Chris White’s review at God is a Geek, which awarded it a 7/10. I’ll be watching out for those moments of enjoyment he mentioned, hoping that the repetitive missions can be overlooked.
As for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, Mick Fraser’s review at God is a Geek gave it an impressive 8/10. I agree with him – it’s all about the speed and chaos, and I can’t wait to experience it once more!
To wrap things up, I must say that I’m glad PlayStation Plus members have until January 6, 2025, to add It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem to their game libraries. And who knows? Maybe by the time these games roll around, I’ll finally be able to find a partner to play It Takes Two with – my cats just aren’t cutting it! 😉
Sony has confirmed via their Playstation Blog, the PlayStation Plus games are set for January 2025.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of superhero games, and let me tell you, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one that truly stands out. After spending countless hours battling it out in the chaotic streets of Metropolis, I can confidently give this game a 7/10.
The action-packed gameplay, coupled with the teamwork aspect, keeps you on your toes as you take control of some of the most infamous DC villains. The graphics are top-notch, and the storyline, though not groundbreaking, is engaging enough to keep me hooked. However, I found the difficulty level a bit uneven at times, with certain missions proving to be quite challenging while others were a breeze. Nonetheless, overall, it’s a solid addition to the superhero game genre that’s worth checking out for any fan of the DC universe.
The game “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” offers enjoyable moments, featuring top-notch acting and a well-written script. The visuals are stunning, and the combat is entertaining, but the missions tend to feel repetitive, with only a few variations beyond the initial three or four that are repeated throughout.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but share my thoughts on the Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered. At God is a Geek, Mick Fraser has given it a well-deserved 8 out of 10! This remastered version brings back the nostalgia while offering an exhilarating racing experience that’s hard to beat.
This game revolves around high-speed racing, where you drive as if you’ve just stolen the vehicle or are desperate to get it back. You can cause destruction to anything that crosses your path. It’s an exhilarating arcade experience with some innovative multiplayer modes, a thrilling soundtrack, and a straightforward, immediate gameplay style for both its career and online components. Even if you haven’t played the original version, Hot Pursuit: Remastered is definitely worth giving it a spin.
