As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the upcoming enhancements for PS5 Pro Enhanced games have me positively giddy! The prospect of playing Horizon Forbidden West and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in enhanced modes on November 7 is enough to make any gamer’s heart skip a beat.

As a devoted gamer, I’ve just learned some exciting news from PlayStation’s latest blog post. They’re talking about boosting the performance and visual quality for games enhanced for the PS5 Pro, like Horizon Forbidden West, an upgrade for The Last of Us Part II, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Gran Turismo 7, and many others! Can’t wait to experience these games at an even higher level of realism and smoothness on my PlayStation 5.

PS5 Pro Enhanced Games Arriving on November 7

On November 7, which is the release date for the upgraded PlayStation 5 Pro, both Horizon Forbidden West and Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will introduce improved gameplay modes known as “Enhanced Modes.

In simpler terms, the Pro Performance mode in Horizon Forbidden West maintains the same smooth gameplay speed as the standard PS5 Performance mode, but offers visual quality similar to that of the standard Quality mode.

In simple terms, when you play Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s enhanced version on the PlayStation 5 Pro, it will ensure a smooth 60 frames per second (FPS) gameplay and utilize the power of PSSR to deliver graphics quality comparable to the Graphics mode.

Other PS5 Pro Enhanced Games

In simpler terms, the remastered versions of The Last of Us Part 1 and 2 for PS5 will include a special mode designed for PS5 Pro consoles. This mode will boost the game’s resolution from 1440p to 4K, all while keeping the frame rate at a smooth 60 frames per second, thanks to PlayStation’s Super-Resolution technology.

For PS5 users, Insomniac Games is offering upgraded features across all four of their PS5 releases: Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In each game, you’ll discover a “Performance Pro Mode,” which optimizes the game to run at 60 frames per second, while delivering stunning 4K resolution and ray tracing effects.

In simpler terms, Avalanche Studios is improving the ray tracing quality for Hogwarts Legacy on the PlayStation 5 Pro by introducing a new Fidelity Ray Tracing Mode at launch. This mode will include ray-traced shadows and enhanced ray-traced reflections, all while aiming to maintain a consistent frame rate of 30 frames per second.

In November, Gran Turismo 7 (GT7) is set to debut some PS5-optimized rendering options tailored for Pro users, which includes a Raytrace Priority Mode that enhances car reflections. Additionally, GT7 will offer an experimental 8K/60fps mode, promising exceptionally sharp and pristine visuals. To utilize this feature, you’ll need an 8K-compatible display.

As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that F1 24, another title optimized for the PS5, is getting a boost with Pro-enhancements, introducing ray tracing effects. This upgrade promises a more authentic and captivating experience as I navigate through rain-drenched tracks.
