We’ve learned from a trusted source that the next PlayStation State of Play event will happen in February 2026.
Xbox recently had a very successful Developer Direct showcasing their upcoming games, and now all eyes are on PlayStation to share what they’ve been working on. PlayStation’s last update was a smaller event in November focused only on games from Japan and Asia. Before that, their last big presentation was back in September.
New State of Play Event Reportedly Coming Next Month
NateTheHate, a trusted source of gaming news, has revealed that a new PlayStation State of Play event is planned for February 2026. He shared this information on X (formerly Twitter) while responding to a discussion about potential confusion with updates for the Red Dead Redemption series. While Nate confirmed the event, he didn’t share any specifics about what will be announced, when to expect it, or which games might be featured.
What to Expect from the Upcoming State of Play February 2026 Event?
Please keep in mind this is just based on predictions, as Sony hasn’t officially announced a State of Play for February or what games might be shown. However, we can anticipate updates on their own games like Marvel’s Wolverine, Marathon, and Saros. Hopefully, we’ll also hear about games that are currently rumoured, such as a new God of War title or another Marvel’s Spider-Man game.
Here’s a quick update: the boxing game Undisputed will be a free game for PlayStation Plus members next month. Plus, we now know when Forza Horizon 6 is coming to PlayStation 5.
