Earlier, players needed to journey through a labyrinthine sequence on the PlayStation site to ask for a refund, which involved clicking numerous repetitive links before getting in touch with an online expert. PlayStation Store Overhauls the Refund Request Process
Starting August 25, users on the PlayStation Store can find their refund option in the Transaction History section of their account. By choosing “Request Refund”, they can initiate a refund process for their purchase. The same conditions as before still stand: refunds are only issued if the transaction occurred within the last 14 days and no content has been downloaded or streamed. Notably, there’s no need to contact the company directly for product returns this time around.

- Open the PlayStation app or go to the PlayStation Store website
- Log in to the account that made the purchase
- Navigate to the Transaction History tab
- Select the eligible game or item
- Click “Request Refund” and wait for a response
This upcoming enhancement for the PlayStation Store, although it might appear as a belated improvement in user experience, could potentially impact the platform’s return rate statistics.
