PlayStation VR2 is Getting a Price Reduction Worldwide in March

In simple terms, starting March 2025, PlayStation has planned to decrease the global price for PlayStation VR2.

The PlayStation Blog has revealed that the PSVR2’s initial retail price is being adjusted to $399.99 USD, €449.99 EUR, £399.99 GBP, or ¥66,980 JPY.

If you’re considering buying the Call of the Mountain Bundle, here’s the suggested price: $399.99 USD, €449.99 EUR, £399.99 GBP, or ¥66,980 JPY. This package comes with a PlayStation Store voucher code for Horizon Call of the Mountain, a PS VR2 headset, PS VR2 Sense controller, and stereo headphones.

Introduced in November 2022, the PlayStation VR2 initially retailed for $549.99 / €599.99 / £529.99 / ¥74,980, a price point that was deemed rather steep given the limited selection of games and the requirement to own a PlayStation 5 as well.

PlayStation emphasizes that the selection of games for PSVR2 has reached a new peak, “Featuring fresh hits like Alien: Rogue Incursion, Skydance’s Behemoth, and Metro Awakening VR, along with upcoming releases such as Aces of Thunder, Dreams of Another, Hitman World of Assassination, and The Midnight Walk, the timing couldn’t be better to dive into the action with PS VR2. Additionally, by utilizing the PS VR2 PC Adapter, players will gain access to explore, purchase, and play countless virtual reality games on Steam. Please note that some game release dates and availability may differ based on location.”

The blog post went on to say, “Furthermore, an upgrade for PS VR2 has added low-latency hand tracking. This means developers can make games that follow a player’s hand placement and movement, thanks to cameras built into the PS VR2 headset. With this innovation, gamers will enjoy realistic controls in compatible titles like  Waltz of the Wizard.
