PlayStation Will Incentive Users With PSN Accounts On PC

To enjoy PlayStation games on your computer, it’s recommended to create a PlayStation Network (PSN) account. As a token of appreciation, PlayStation is offering some free gifts to gamers who do so.

On the PlayStation Blog, the company revealed some fresh perks for players who possess both a PC and a PSN account. Some games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarök, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will offer exclusive in-game content when they connect their accounts, providing they create and link them.

PlayStation announced that having an account for the PlayStation Network will no longer be necessary for certain games on PC. However, those who choose to use their PlayStation Network account will gain additional perks such as earning trophies and managing friends.

When you login to your PSN account, you will get the following depending on the game:

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: Early unlock suits: the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit and the Miles Morales 2099 Suit
  • God of War Ragnarök: Gain access to the Armor of the Black Bear set for Kratos at the first Lost Items chest in the Realm Between Realms (previously only accessible in a New Game+ run) and a resource bundle (500 Hacksilver and 250 XP)  
  • The Last of Us Part II Remastered: +50 points to activate bonus features and unlock extras and Jordan’s Jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet as a skin for Ellie 
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: Gain access to Nora Valiant outfit

Sony added that more games from PlayStation Studios will get benefits in the future.
