Fans are getting more and more excited for the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game set, Ascended Heroes, which will be released early next year. New cards from the set have recently been revealed in Japan as part of the Mega Dream ex collection.
Mega Dream ex is the Japanese name for the Ascended Heroes card set, and it will be available starting November 28th. Most of the cards in this Japanese version, along with some new ones, will be included in the Start Deck 100, which comes out next month, to make up the full Ascended Heroes set. The most sought-after cards from the set have now been revealed.
Mega Dream ex Secret Rares Revealed
According to sources like Pokebeach, the Mega Dream ex set includes 20 Art Rare cards and a brand-new type of card called Mega Attack Rare, both illustrated with a comic book aesthetic. Interestingly, the Japanese version of the set will include English text, while the English version will feature Japanese writing.
The new Ascended Heroes Pokémon card set will feature over 30 cards with unique artwork. Highlights include Mega Gengar, Mega Dragonite, and returning Trainer cards featuring Pokémon first reintroduced in the Journey Together set earlier this year.
The rare cards revealed now give us a good idea of what’s coming in the next set, but not everything shown will be included. Some cards might become promotional items, and others could be saved for a later release to add more cards to a future expansion.
The Zekrom card featuring the character N is a special “Art Rare” version in the Japanese “Mega Dream ex” set. However, in the English “Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box,” it’s included as a promotional card.
