Players will be able to download Pokemon Champions on Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 at no cost, but a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership will be needed to play. A mobile version of the game is also planned for release later this year, though the exact date hasn’t been announced yet.
Pokemon Champions is a new platform designed to revolutionize competitive Pokemon battling. It will become the official home for Ranked Battles and Tournaments, starting with its launch and continuing at the Pokemon World Championships in San Francisco from August 28th to 30th.
