The artist of this Pokemon-themed pumpkin proudly displayed their creation on social media and mentioned that the Spiritomb Jack-o’-Lantern served a particular function.
Initially debuting as the enigmatic Spiritomb in the games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, this unique Pokemon is recognized by its intricate purple and green swirls adorning its visage. Unlike other creatures inhabiting the Sinnoh region, capturing a Spiritomb requires some preliminary actions. By obtaining the Odd Keystone on Route 208, players must then converse with 32 characters within the Underground of Sinnoh, followed by venturing to the Hallowed Tower to initiate an encounter with this elusive Pokemon. In the games Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Spiritomb can be found in specific locations scattered across the snowy expanses of the Paldea region.
One dedicated Pokemon enthusiast decided to honor the renowned Ghost Pokemon, Spiritomb, by crafting a unique tribute: a Spiritomb-inspired Jack-o’-Lantern. A Reddit user named Araki-Forgot- shared two images on the r/pokemon subreddit of this intricate pumpkin carving. The initial image was taken with the room illuminated, providing a crisp view of the paint used for Spiritomb’s face. Although just the front of the pumpkin was painted, Araki-Forgot- opted for a deep purple hue to make Spiritomb’s visage stand out. The interior of the pumpkin was coated in a vibrant fluorescent green. Three openings were carefully carved to bring Spiritomb’s forehead to life, and the eye and mouth patterns were enlarged to emphasize the light source within the Jack-o’-Lantern. In the second image, the room lights were dimmed, revealing Spiritomb’s face vividly in the center of the hollowed pumpkin, thanks to the light source and green paint.
