Pokemon Fan Designs Mega Evolutions for Porygon-Z, Meowstic, and Tatsugiri

A Pokémon artist shared their designs for Mega Evolutions of Meowstic, Tatsugiri, and Porygon-Z online. They created the artwork in the style of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and other fans praised their work.

Mega Evolution was a key feature in the sixth generation of Pokemon games, letting certain Pokemon temporarily transform into stronger forms with boosted stats and sometimes even different types. While later Pokemon games introduced new battle mechanics like Terrastalization and Dynamaxing, Mega Evolution has returned as the central focus in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The game not only brings back popular Mega Evolutions, such as Mega Lucario, but also introduces new ones for Pokemon like Feraligatr, Meganium, and Emboar.

Pokemon Fan Artist Shares New Mega Form Concepts of Three Critters

A Pokémon fan artist created concept art showing what Mega Evolutions would look like for Meowstic, Tatsugiri, and Porygon-Z, inspired by the upcoming Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Shared on the Pokémon subreddit, the artwork by HertzBurst closely matches the game’s visual style. The artist gave Mega Tatsugiri a sushi roll-like collar and chopstick-shaped eyebrows, while retaining its unique Curly, Droopy, and Stretchy forms. For Mega Meowstic, HertzBurst combined elements of both the male and female versions of the Pokémon – using the male’s spiky hair and ear patterns with the female’s white fur and curled tails. The Mega Meowstic design also features six tails, three on each side.

So, HertzBurtz had already done some cool concept art for Porygon-Z, but they just dropped a Mega Evolution design too! It really captures how unpredictable Porygon-Z is – there are extra shapes floating around it, and its limbs actually changed back to the sharper, more angular shapes from the original Porygon. Everyone’s loving the new designs, and a lot of people are noticing the clever little detail of the ‘chopstick’ shapes above Mega Tatsugiri’s eyes – HertzBurtz is really thinking outside the box!

Recent leaks about the Pokemon Legends Z-A DLC suggest that Meowstic and Tatsugiri might receive new Mega Evolutions, but Porygon-Z may not. While these are just rumors, it’s still unknown if these potential Mega forms will look like designs fans have already created.
