As someone who’s been a dedicated Pokémon fan since the days of Game Boy and VHS tapes, I can’t help but be captivated by the continuous creativity and imagination that the community showcases through fan art like this Water-type Charmander evolutionary line.

A passionate Pokémon enthusiast and artist has recently introduced Water-themed variants for Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard – its evolutions. Fan art depicting Pokémon with altered types has been a favorite among fans of the enduring franchise, and this artist’s distinctive visuals have sparked excitement on the internet.

As a devoted Pokémon enthusiast, I’d like to share my thoughts about one of the most beloved creatures in the franchise – Charmander. Hailing from the inaugural generation of Pokémon, Charmander, along with its evolved form Charizard, has earned a reputation as one of the series’ fan favorites.

A Reddit user named JolteonRPGplayer, who is a fan of Pokémon, has creatively redesigned Charmander and its evolutions. Instead of sticking with their original Fire-type, this redesign imagines them as Water-type creatures. The color scheme has been changed from orange to blue, and the artist has given these new forms fish scales, making them look like aquatic Pokémon. The designs themselves don’t have titles, but some commenters have suggested names such as Liquimander or Aquamander for these innovative creations.

Artist Creates Fan Art Of Water-Type Charmander Evolutionary Line

On more than one occasion, a supporter of Pokemon has opted to reinvent the Charmander evolutionary series by introducing new elemental types. Not too long ago, an artist reimagined Charmander and its evolutions as Ghost-type creatures. In this artwork, Charmander and Charmeleon were depicted with empty eyes and eerie lanterns rather than flames on their tails. Additionally, Charmeleon and Charizard were portrayed with multiple heads that bore a striking resemblance to zombies.

In the previous year, another enthusiast of Pokemon reimagined Charmander as an icy creature. This transformation turned the original red and orange character into a white and blue one, with most of its features preserved. However, instead of the traditional flame-tipped tail, this new version sported spikes of ice. Additionally, it had a bow tie fashioned entirely out of ice.

Beyond Charmander, it’s frequently seen that Eevee from the initial generation is often portrayed differently by fans thanks to its various Eeveelutions. Recently, a fan artist came up with an innovative concept for Eevee’s evolution – a dual Electric and Dragon type. This new form appears to be inspired by a fox and sports colors like orange and cream, similar to the Generation 1 Dragon-type Pokemon Dragonite. The design includes a spiked dragon tail and horns, offering a fresh take on potential future Eevee evolutions.
