In the r/PokemonTCG subreddit, user Diligent-Plane-2640 posted an interesting discovery: their girlfriend owns a Charizard card from the Base Set, which was the first expansion focusing on Kanto Pokemon. Other users acknowledged that this is one of the most coveted Pokemon TCG cards among collectors, known as “the Charizard” of the Base Set variants. As per PokeDATA, this specific Charizard can sell for up to $4,810 without grading, and an astonishing $252,000 if it receives a perfect grade 10. Even with a lower grade, such as a 5, the card can still be worth up to $5,774.
