A dedicated fan of Pokémon has come up with an impressive adaptation of Meganium, specifically in the style of Kalos region. This fan art serves as a festive prelude to the upcoming game release, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which takes place in Lumiose City, part of the Kalos region. The announcement of
Meganium, a creature type Grass, represents the final evolution of Chikorita. Chikorita transforms into Bayleef at level 16, and then evolves again into Meganium at level 32 or higher. These creatures made their initial appearance as one of the three starters in the games Pokemon Gold and Silver, and they are set to reappear in the upcoming installment of the series. Recently, the starters for Pokemon Legends: Z-A were unveiled, signaling the return of Chikorita from Generation 2, as well as Totodile and Tepig from Generation 5, serving as the starting choices in the game.
Currently, a Pokemon enthusiast known as Fast-Sliggoo has presented a Kalosian version of Meganium to fellow fans. This revised Grass/Dark-type version displays darker hues and features a black head. Instead of the usual large pink flower adorning its neck, this Kalosian Meganium appears to be draped in withered leaves. The new interpretation has garnered praise from other enthusiasts, earning Fast-Sliggoo over 1,700 upvotes.
Fan Creates Kalosian Meganium to Celebrate the Upcoming Pokemon Legends Z-A
Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed an increase in fan art featuring Meganium, largely due to its role in the upcoming “Pokemon Legends Z-A”. One creative fan even designed a new regional variant, envisioning a flying version of this dinosaur-like Pokémon. In this version, Meganium’s flower transforms into butterfly-like wings!
A different artist came up with another distinctive piece featuring a unique version of Meganium, this time with a Grass/Poison type. In this fresh concept, the Alolan Meganium sports pale yellow skin and carries an anthurium flower around its neck, a plant known for being poisonous to pets like cats, dogs, and horses in reality.
Many artists have created regional adaptations of Meganium, while others have opted for distinctly different concepts. A recent example that was recently presented to the community is a Mega Evolution for Meganium. This new form depicts the creature as a massive yellow dinosaur-like being, adorned with a vibrant flower around its neck and large brown spikes, boasting sharp claws too. Perhaps these artworks and the imminent launch of Pokemon Legends: Z-A will motivate additional fans to develop innovative designs for other beloved creatures and contribute them to the community.
