Pokemon Gen 10 Map Sketch and More Details Leak Online

A preliminary map for the next generation of Pokémon games (Generation 10) has appeared online, along with other rumored information about the upcoming titles in the Pokémon series.

The information comes from CentroLeaks, a Twitter user who has been collecting details about the next generation of Pokémon games since a large leak in October 2024 exposed thousands of documents from the game developer, Game Freak. These new role-playing games are rumored to be titled either Pokémon Winds and Waves or simply Wind and Wave, and are currently expected to be released in 2026.

Alleged Pokemon Winds and Waves Map Sketch Leaks Online

In late November 2025, CentroLeaks posted on Twitter what they claim is an early map sketch for the next Pokémon games. The drawing shows a group of islands, which supports previous rumors that Pokémon Winds and Waves will take place in a region inspired by Southeast Asia and Indonesia. According to the leak, the northeastern part of the region will have mountains, the largest southwestern island will feature a desert, and the central islands will likely include at least two volcanoes.

Pokemon Winds and Waves Will Reportedly Feature Around 30 Islands

The recent sketch from CentroLeaks shows just 15 islands, but these are likely only the biggest land areas in the new Pokémon games. The source believes there will be around 30 islands total, plus many smaller locations. It’s unclear how this sketch connects to CentroLeaks’ previous statement that Pokémon Winds and Waves would have a nearly endless region with islands created on the fly. Considering how Game Freak usually develops games, it’s possible the new RPGs will feature a limited area with randomized elements—perhaps a new version of the Mirage Island from Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald—alongside many carefully designed locations.

A recently leaked map suggests the new Pokémon game will feature routes and areas designed in a way that encourages a fairly straightforward initial playthrough, with more options for getting around – like boats or flying – becoming available later. The game, potentially titled Pokémon Winds and Waves, might also have Pokémon designs that change randomly. According to a previous leak, some common Pokémon will have endless variations in how they evolve. Rumors suggest that weather will play a major role in gameplay for the next generation of Pokémon, but details are still scarce. It’s also believed that the complete National Pokédex won’t be included in these new titles.

The battle system in the upcoming Pokemon Winds and Waves is reportedly taking cues from Pokemon Legends, but will still be turn-based at its core. Leaks suggest the game’s development budget is around $20 million, which is comparable to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. While this is a modest budget for a major game release, it’s higher than the estimated $16 million spent on Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Gen 10 Games Likely To Be Revealed on Pokemon Day 2026

Even if the recent leaks are accurate, game development is always a bit uncertain, and things often change right up until release. This means not everything we’ve heard about Pokemon Winds and Waves might end up in the final game. However, we can be reasonably sure about when the game will be announced. Considering Game Freak usually reveals new titles on Pokemon Day (February 27th) and a 2026 release seems likely, that’s probably when we’ll get official news.
