On January 21st, during the Steely Resolve event, Pokemon GO unveiled the introduction of Rookidee, Corvisquire, and their evolution, Corviknight. Players have long anticipated the inclusion of Corviknight’s evolutionary line, and now they can enjoy more Pokemon from the Galar region in the game.

In December 2024, during the Dual Destiny Season of Pokemon GO, Niantic unveiled a fresh loading screen that piqued players’ interest. Immediately, gamers spotted Rookidee and Corviknight, two Pokemon that had not been disclosed prior to this point. However, the fact that the Flying/Steel-type Pokemon wasn’t revealed by subsequent events has left fans speculating when these pocket monsters will make their long-awaited appearance in the augmented reality game.

The wait is finally coming to an end! On January 21, Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight are set to make their debut in Pokemon GO during the Steely Resolve event. This exciting event will take place from 10 am on January 21 until 8 pm local time on January 26. During this period, players will have their first chance to encounter these three new additions to the game.

Additionally, a fresh part of the Dual Destiny seasonal Special Research will be accessible, offering new rewards for participants. Magnetic Lure Modules will entice Pokemon such as Onix and Beldum into your vicinity. And if you’ve been struggling with Shadow Pokemon learning the Charged Attack Frustration, don’t worry – they can forget it by using a Charged Technical Machine (TM).

During the Steely Resolve event, players can participate in Mega raids, one-star raids, and five-star raids featuring Deoxys Attack and Defense Forme and Dialga. Additionally, by hatching 2km eggs, trainers have a chance to obtain Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, or Rookidee. This event will also offer new Field Research tasks, special $5 Paid Timed Research, Showcases, and web store deals. Some Pokemon like Machoke, Croconaw, Wooper, Lickitung, Corvisquire, and Paldean Wooper, which evolve during the event, will learn a unique featured attack. The GO Battle Week will introduce new leagues and offer bonuses such as 4x Stardust for winning rewards.

2021 has seen an exciting kickoff for Pokémon GO enthusiasts, packed with numerous events to participate in. Apart from Corviknight and its predecessors officially joining the game, Niantic has announced Shadow Raids set for January, which will reintroduce Shadow Ho-Oh into the game. Additionally, new Dynamax raids featuring the Legendary Birds of Kanto will be available from January 20 to February 3.
